My YouTube Video Downloader I won a competition with in 2024.
I am Mohamed, a 13 year old Egyptian who lives in the UAE, I starting the coding learning journey as soon as that virus began began to spread in 2020, since there was nothing to do, I starting searching Google: "How to create windows programs". I learned some Python and C# and made some basic CLI projects.
Some years past and I am learning a lot of things, hmm... Why dont I learn some web development? and I did, I liked it more than any thing. I learned front end development first, then learned backend with Flask, I chose it since I already known Python.
Learned Python, C# and some HTML, did small websites and cli apps.
Made a lot of programs with C#, and made my old website.
Was a calm year, Tried Linux for the first time, installed Ubuntu, and learned video editing.
Bought a web development course on Udemy and grinded the first half of it (frontend), but the backend explanation wasn't the best, so I stayed on the frontend phase for some time. I did some responsive websites with Bootstrap. Learned the Dart programming language and the Flutter Framework.
I made some Websites and Apps Like: Wordly. I won one competition this year. I made some other small websites like a To Do Website that stores the data in the cookies using JS and a Dice game.
Learned Flask for backend development, in the beginning I used json files as databases, but then I learned PostgreSQL. Learned Linux to be comfortable using the terminal. Made the Devlix WM Project I tried hosting websites on a VPS, and securing Linux Servers from brute fource attacks. Also learned Docker, React JS, and Virtualization in Proxmox. I won in 2 competition this year:
This was the best year so far.
